This policy explains what information Frankford Auto Center ("we", "us") collects, how we
use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website, our dealership and shop at
34530 DuPont Blvd, Frankford, DE 19945, and the text messages we send.
Information we collect
- What you give us on this website: your name, phone number, email address,
the vehicle you ask about, service bookings and anything you write in a message.
- Financing applications: the details on the application, such as your
name, date of birth, address, housing, employment, income and the last four digits of
your Social Security number. We do not store your full Social Security number.
- When you buy, finance or service a vehicle with us: your sale and payment
records, the vehicle, and your contact details.
- Text messages: your mobile number, your consent to receive texts and when
you gave it, the texts we send you and the replies you send us.
- Technical information: our web server records your IP address, the pages
you request and your browser type, for security and to keep the site working. We do not
use advertising or analytics trackers. The only cookie we set is for staff signing in to
our own admin pages. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and our Contact page shows an
embedded Google Map; when they load, your browser connects to Google, which receives your
IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies (see
Google's
privacy policy).
How we use it
- To answer your questions and arrange test drives, service and detailing.
- To review a financing application you send us.
- To keep records of your purchase and your payment account, and to send payment
reminders and account notices if you agreed to receive them.
- To keep the records the law requires (for example, Delaware requires dealers to keep
sale records for five years) and to protect our website from abuse.
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- with a lender, if you ask us to on a financing application, so they can review it;
- with companies that run services for us — our website hosting, our email, and our
text-message provider and the mobile carriers — only so they can deliver those
services to us, and not for their own marketing;
- when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
Text messages (SMS)
We send text messages only to customers who agreed to receive them, by signing our
Consent to Text Messages form. The program, how often we text,
and how to stop are explained in our Terms and Conditions.
Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for
help.
No mobile information will be shared with third
parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text
messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any
third parties.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected and for as
long as the law requires us to keep records.
Your choices
- Stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, or by telling us in person or by phone.
- Ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us
below.
Children
This website is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their
information. Our text-message program is for people 18 or older.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new date.
